Mandarin Oriental Group is thrilled to announce the opening of its second London property, MO Mayfair, located on historic Hanover Square—a vibrant hub where art, fashion, culture, and history converge.
Immersing ourselves in the essence of central London, we meticulously crafted over 3,500 bespoke furniture pieces for the hotel. This includes the 50 guestrooms and suites, 77 private residences, the London debut of award-winning Chef Akira Back’s restaurant, two bars including an exquisite rooftop bar, and a luxurious spa.
In collaboration with Clivedale London and Studio Indigo, who seamlessly blended Mandarin Oriental’s Asian heritage with locally inspired elements to create a distinct identity. Each piece was meticulously designed and crafted to reflect the hotel’s elegance. The design palette features rich emerald green, regal maroon, and tranquil turquoise, utilising fine timbers, marbles, soft fabrics, and carpets. Bespoke lighting and furniture are complemented by metallic finishes in brass, bronze, and gold. We carefully selected materials that embody this sophistication, further enhancing the guest experience.
For the spa and front of house, we manufactured over 140 pieces of furniture, including spa trolleys, loungers, display units, a reception desk, chairs, sofas, consoles, display shelves, and poolside tables. Every detail of our tailored furnishings has been created with the concept of an ‘urban utopia’ in mind, embodying tranquility, luxury, and holistic well-being. The design seamlessly blends natural wood, soft fabrics, and textured finishes, fostering a connection to nature that helps guests relax and escape the pace of London life.
